- The voters, led by Bob Wabwire, wondered why Busia, which they claimed has the largest number of registered voters in ODM, does not hold key party positions.
Some voters from the county kiss have expressed their disappointment with the political situation in the country.
Why are the voters of Busia disappointed?
The voters, led by Bob Wabwire, told TUKO.co.ke that they feel the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party led by Raila Odinga he does not do them justice.
“We are not happy that we can only be important when voting. They cannot deceive us who live in Busia in the dark,” Wabwire said.
They called on the ODM leadership to address and clarify several issues to help them better understand the situation.
What questions did the residents of Busia ask?
Residents of Busia wondered why the ODM party depends on their votes during the elections but they are allegedly abandoning them after getting a position in the government, either by handishek or general administration.
They questioned why the leaders they elected, including the regional governor, allegedly have no influence within the party and are not consulted on party matters.
They asked why their leaders are reported to know the important matters of the party through TV instead of being involved in decision making.
Wabwire further questioned whether Busia should leave the ODM party, as the county seems to suffer rather than benefit whenever ODM forms a coalition government.
He wondered why Busia, which he claimed has a large number of registered voters in the ODM party, does not have important party positions.
“Why is ODM influencing national development in other ODM strongholds and leaving Busia out?” he asked.
Wabwire added that Busia voters are refusing to stay out of the party they believe they helped build.
“Our loyalty to the ODM party must pay off and not make us suffer more.”
