What did the MCAs say about the motion to dismiss Sakaja?

In a press conference attended by TUKO.co.ke on Monday, September 2, in Umoja ward 1, the MCAs described the reports of the sacking as propaganda and that will not happen.

Led by MCA of Korogocho Ward Absalom Odhiambo Matach and his Umoja I colleague Mark Mugambi, MCAs said that Sakaja's attempts to defect is a fraud intended to disrupt city services.

“I've seen the newspapers claiming the case for indicting him and I'm asking where? Where?” A burning Absalom asked before the governor.

“We said here Nairobi we don't want these … issues, this is not Meru,” he added.

He said this in a meeting attended by Sakaja and a crowd of more than 25 MCAs who support the governor.

Mugambi said that the parliament will do whatever it takes to protect the governor from being removed from power, even if it means returning to the days when controversies dominated the proceedings of the parliament.

“Even if we have to go back to the days of Elachi when wars will break out, we will do it,” Mugambi said.

He also asked Governor Sakaja to put his faith in the MCAs and rely on them for whatever happens.

What did Sakaja say about his motion to be prosecuted?

This followed Sakaja's statement that he is not threatened by reports of being fired and is still focusing on service delivery.

During the official launch of the third phase of the Dishi County plan on Monday, September 2, Sakaja boldly denied the allegations and said they were common threats.
