Stivo who is known for coining phrases such as Freshi Barida, Mwake Mwake and Ngongingo, has once again hit the headlines with his latest catchphrase, mefi mefi muscle.

These lyrics have not only caught the attention of fans but also brought him his international debut.

Speaking on K24 TV's Hangout, Stivo revealed that his new catchphrase, which he claims translates to “no problem, everything is cool” in Arabic, has opened the door to a big show in Saudi Arabia.

The artist is set to perform in Riyadh on September 23, 2024, marking his first ever trip abroad.

Stivo attributes his growing international appeal to his unique seasonal language, changing hairstyles, and unique style, which he believes makes him stand out across East Africa and beyond.

“Why do I always change my hairstyle, clothes, and slang? It's because I'm not just an artist in the country Kenya; I am an East African artist. Now, I want to spread my wings further and go international,” Stivo explained.

Simple Boy held his first concert since parting ways with his management, but Kenyans were not happy with the low pay he was given.

However, while promoting his show, he revealed that the damage would only cost KSh 200, which caused mixed reactions.

Some of his supporters thought that he was more than the petty charges he was asking for, but others applauded him for starting from the bottom with this new approach to self-management.
