President William Ruto arrived in China on Monday, September 2 in style.
Did Raila accompany Ruto to China?
The President went to Beijing for the China-Africa Cooperation Forum Meeting.
He was accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto and candidate for the chairmanship of the African Union Commission (AUC) Raila Odinga.
Photos shared on Ruto's X page showed them walking the red carpet after disembarking from a Kenya Airways flight.
The president looked casual in a sweatshirt, black pants, and sneakers. Rachel wore casual black pants, loose pants that matched her jacket, and a black top.
Raila he walked behind them, dressed to death in his favorite fedora and Kaunda's black suit.
A military parade and a dance troupe welcomed the departure Kenya.
“Over the years, China has proven to be a true partner for development, and has greatly improved our infrastructure. We look forward to strengthening relationship this to accelerate our transformation,” Ruto wrote.
Many Kenyans were surprised that Ruto tagged along with Raila for the trip. Others noted that he decided to use a Kenya Airways plane instead of chartering a private plane as he did on his trip to United States.

In other news, Ruto's trip to the United States was met with much fanfare with his three daughters and his wife Rachel.

The bee lover did not travel to the United States with his siblings and had returned to Kenya to the amusement of many.
