The identity of the woman who perished has been the subject of speculation on the Internet, and the agent who allowed the car to be taken by herself has revealed more details.
Ian Kaniu spoke to Ndungu Nyoro saying he feels he needs to clear up the rumors that have been hurting the affected families.
“The owner ordered two cars from England. On arrival, had taken his family on holiday to Mombasa, including his wife, children and domestic workers.
After taking the two cars, he drove one with his wife and children. Then he instructed his driver to carry their housemaid to another. The driver and the housekeeper later met with an accident on the way,” Nyoro said.
He also revealed his conversation with his agent:
“It is very sad that bloggers have misrepresented the event and that is why I decided to make things clear,” he told Nyoro.
Range Rover crash
As reported, the police report showed that two people died on the spot, and three others were injured after the Range Rover collided with an FRR Isuzu canter in the Salt Water area.
According to the police, the car was driven by Jamal Mubarak, aged 37, who died along with a female passenger, aged 29.
The driver was trying to overtake another car that was speeding when he collided head-on with an Isuzu canter car, causing the luxury car to remain in the spare parts.
