When questioned, Mucheru admitted to spending KSh 30 but was threatened to report it to his father.

“He was using his mother's phone to place a bet, apparently when he was transferring money through M-Money he was not getting a confirmation message so he continued to make those transactions, the issue came to light when his mother saw that her balance had decreased by almost KSh 4,000.

Unable to find any transaction messages, he requested information. I can't say for sure if she was angry or scared, but her mother threatened to report me. However, he did not punish him,” explained Marika.
