Why was Khalif Kairo arrested again?
Wearing a tight suit and grabbing his phone, Cairo looked calm with his hands closed, quite different from the allegations facing him.
Circles revealed that Cairo was arrested following a new complaint from a disgusted client.
The client accused him of taking the full charge of the BMW luxury car but failed to deliver it, causing the police to take immediate action.
Cairo's name has been surrounded by controversy in the car market.
Why was Khalif Kairo granted bail?
On January 14, he was released on a bail of KSh 1 million in cash in each of the two separate criminal cases, which is a total of KSh 2 million, after staying in court for three days.
He faced accusations of cheating his customers over KSh 5 million for false promises to facilitate the purchase of their vehicles.
While giving bail to Cairo, the Chief Justice of the Mountains Court, Lucas Onyina, urged the parties involved to consider the resolution outside the court, citing the type of charges as wrong.
Onyina noted that there were no fundamental reasons for rejecting the Cairo bond, adding that she did not consider the defendant as a danger of running.
Cairo was charged with two counts of cheating under section 315 of the Penal Code.
Despite the allegations, Cairo held his innocence.
