Content creator and fast-rising comedian Kennedy Kabugi, popularly known as Iam Kabugi, held his long-anticipated Smiles Caravan event at the Nairobi Cinema yesterday, March 22, 2025, and Kenyan celebrities flocked in, all dressed to kill.
Among those who stood out was comedian 2mbili, who made a grand entrance flanked by his girlfriend while donning an audacious golden pantsuit that featured a cropped top and a sharply tailored blazer, instantly turning heads.
The outfit, meticulously put together, included a pair of flared bell-bottom trousers that hugged his waist before cascading into a wide-leg silhouette, exuding a retro yet avant-garde aesthetic.
However, the most striking element was the top—designed with a structured cut-out at the chest, as if originally intended for a woman, leaving an exposed gap where breasts would typically fit.
The corset-style piece, crafted with slim, sculptural straps, hugged his torso while revealing his chest and half of his back, creating a bold, androgynous look that sent tongues wagging.
To elevate the ensemble, 2mbili accessorised with a set of matching golden bead necklaces, sleek black gloves, and a dreadlocked hairstyle—a look he rarely sports—perfectly curating a dramatic, high-fashion appeal.
According to him, the outfit was designed by renowned city stylist Melina Gold, and he deliberately wore it to steal attention and make a daring fashion statement.
However, fan reactions were polarising, and while some praised him for confidently pulling off a Hollywood-level fashion moment, others speculated whether he was subtly embracing cross-dressing.
