Six people have been left dead after Al Shabaab militants attacked a National Police Service reservists camp in Garissa on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, four others have been severely injured following the attack which happened around 5:30 am on Sunday.
“It was reported through mobile phone initially by one Ahmed A.A, a resident of Biyamadhow that today at around 0530 Hrs suspected Al-Shabab militia had attacked a National Police Reservist Camp located at Biyamadhow, about 24 Kms west of the station (Hagadera Police Station),” the report read in part.
Police say that the suspected militia used assorted weapons to overrun the camp.
Already, a multi-agency police unit led by the Anti-terrorist Police Unit (ATPU) are investigating the attack.
“Six fatalities have been confirmed with four injured and in hospital. Multi-agency security operatives are piecing this incident together with ATPU at the lead,” the report added.
