Veteran journalist Sophie Ikenye has called on the public to help raise KSh 5 million for her immediate surgery and ongoing treatment.

In a request for a donation request for treatment sent by Philip Etale, the family revealed that for the past eight months, Sophie has been undergoing treatment at various medical centers.

The request, however, did not provide information about the illness that bothers the veteran broadcaster.

They added that they had done everything they could to help with their treatment, but they had spent all the money available.

They have also called on the public to offer their prayers, goodness and financial support during this difficult time.
