AFC Leopards have been forced to reschedule their Annual General Meeting owing to a clash in dates with the Mashemeji derby.
AFC Leopards have been forced to change the date for their Annual General Meeting (AGM) following the rescheduling of the Mashemeji derby.
Leopards will host arch rivals Gor Mahia in the Mashemeji derby on Sunday March 30 at Nyayo Stadium, the highly billed match getting a new date after it had been called off early this month, owing to lack of a suitable venue.
However, that new date has disrupted the planned AGM as Ingwe were to hold the crucial meeting on March 30 at the Nyayo Stadium basketball court.
AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia reignite their fierce rivalry in a highly anticipated FKF Premier League showdown packed with drama.
“The club’s Annual General Meeting that was scheduled to be held on Sunday 30th March 2025 has now been pushed back to 29th March 2025, at a venue that will be communicated later on Monday 24th March 2025 after confirmation,” Leopards announced through a statement.

The AGM will discuss among other things the financial state of the club from the last year as well as start the modalities of changing the club’s structure into a corporate model that would attract external investors.
Leopards’ Task Force Corporate Committee tabled its report to the club which is seeking to move away from the current community structure that is blamed for their financial struggles.
“The club’s NEC officials would like to thank the Task Force Corporate Committee which handed in their report on the 3rd of March 2025 after their 6 months mandate which was to foresee ways in which our club would go corporate. We are grateful for their time and support even as their mandate comes to an end,” the club said early this month.
The AGM will also set in motion plans for the club’s elections, set to be held on June 29, with a new chairman set to be elected given incumbent Dan Shikanda has served his full two terms.
