The former Manchester United midfielder believes loaning Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa was the best decision for his career and confidence.
Former Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt believes it was a good idea for the club to loan Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa.
Marcus Rashford joined Aston Villa on February 2 on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season and Nicky Butt is confident that was one of the best decisions the ‘Red Devils’ made.
He revealed that it got to a point where Marcus Rashford was unhappy playing at Manchester United and struggling to make an impact on the pitch, but that has since seemingly changed.
Harambee Stars scored a last-minute goal to secure a thrilling 3-3 draw with The Gambia and after the stalemate, they have it all to do to claim a first-ever World Cup ticket.

Nicky Butt explained that he also received the England national team call-up, a great confidence booster as he looks to find his balance at Aston Villa.
He expressed optimism to see Marcus Rashford back at Manchester United but was unsure about the future.
“I think it was the right thing for him to go. He wasn’t looking happy playing football here. I’ve known Marcus since he was 9 or 10, and it was sad to see him struggling on the pitch,” Nicky Butt told the Daily Mail.

Victor Wanyama has been named alongside Virgil van Dijk as one of Celtic’s best teammates, with Scott Brown recalling his dominance on the pitch.
“That happens with so many people when they get into a little bit of quicksand and they can’t get out of it.
“Villa are an amazing club and he’s got his England call-up again which will be a massive boost for him. I’d like to see him back in a Man United shirt but who knows?”
Speaking at the same time, he slammed the decision to have Kobbie Mainoo leave the club at the end of the season if the rumours are true.

Harambee Stars will shift focus to their World Cup qualifier against Gabon in Nairobi on Sunday and here is everything you need to know about the must-win clash.
Nicky Butt revealed that the management of the club has a problem and they need to put their house in order instead of punishing the players.
He explained that if that is not addressed, there will never be a change when it comes to how things are run at Manchester United.
“It’s not nice to hear that Kobbie might be leaving because of FFP or whatever they want to call it, but it’s been wrongly run for so many years financially that now the people in charge are going to have to deal with that,” Nicky Butt said.
“What’s happening now is a sad effect of what’s been going on for the last 10-12 years. If you don’t get your house in order early doors and you start letting the money just burn away, then that’s what happens.”
He added that Manchester United’s dream of winning the Premier League title by 2028 is somewhat too ambitious. He added that clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City will not wait for them to get better.
Manchester United are currently placed 13th with 37 points. Liverpool lead the table with 70 points ahead of Arsenal who currently have 58 points.
