Foreman was married to Mary Joan Martelly from 1985 until his death but he had also been married to Adrienne Calhoun from 1971 to 1974 after which a two-year marriage to Cynthia Lewis between 1977 and 1979 followed.
He would be married a third time to Sharon Goodson, the union lasting one year, before he met Andrea Skeete in 1982. They were together until 1985 when they separated after which he married Martelly.
Foreman’s five marriages yielded 12 children, five sons and seven daughters, and interestingly, all his sons were named George.
George Foreman’s boxing resume is one for the greats as he featured in 76 fights and lost just five, one by knockout, and he is among a select group of athletes who achieved success in their late 40s.
The legendary boxer is remembered for his fight against Muhammad Ali, considered the greatest boxer of all-time.
