The veteran politician claimed that the leadership style of the dismissed leader made him unworthy.

During an interview on Thursday, March 20, Murungi said the removal of light could not be avoided, as he had excluded senior political people, including members of the County Parliament (MCAS) and MPs.

Murungi, who failed the light in the 2022 governor's race, claimed his collapse was due to his repeated conflicts with other leaders.

“He was at war with all MPs, MCAand even we who were before; He was around to insult us, humiliating us. He was very proud, so when he was removed, you could see there was happiness in Meru. We are very happy with this new governor, “Kiraitu said.

Kiraitu, who failed by the light in the 2022 governor elections, held that he had previously been open to give him a chance but was quickly disappointed by his leadership.

He further criticized Light for failing to fulfill his campaign promises, especially his promise to raise Meru, accusing him of speaking.

“He brought us and our followers a lot of pain. And when we look at progress, he claims his job is to raise Meru's children, but for two years, he has done nothing for them.

How Kiraitu planned to smile at the

Kiraitu remained confidential about his role in the removal of the light but suggested that Meru leaders felt forced to take action before further damage.

He explained that Meru leaders were united to deal with what they saw as bad leadership.

“Later, we realized that even if he was given ten years, Meru would continue to go back, sinking more in the mud. We Meru leaders felt it was best to help our people avoid this political pit. So we joined other leaders and did what we could, now returned home,” he added.

Kiraitu dismissed allegations that Light was expelled from the office because he was a woman, insisting that his removal had nothing to do with his gender but his rule.

“If anyone is fighting for women's rights, Kiraitu Murungi is one of them. Even when I was governor I had a plan to lift women. We have also seen many women leaders, and I have worked with them and respect them. We have no problem with women at all,” she said.
