Comedian-turned-activist Eric Omondi has launched a fundraising campaign to assist Keziah Nyambura, a woman from Nyandarua who has been battling a severe and unexplained stomach swelling condition.
Omondi, who has been actively involved in various humanitarian efforts, took to his Instagram page on Friday, March 21, 2025, to appeal to the public for financial support. He revealed that Keziah has been suffering for a long time and urgently needs help to regain her health.
“Hey guys I found our Sister Keziah Nyambura…She needs us …We are her only hope…We will help her regain her life. She has suffered a lot. Team Sisi kwa Sisi, please send whatever you can to her,” Eric pleaded.

In his social media post, Omondi urged well-wishers to send their contributions directly to Keziah’s mother, Mary Macharia, through the mobile number provided. He emphasized that the support of the public was her only hope in overcoming the medical condition.
Before launching the fundraiser, Omondi had been searching for Keziah and had previously called on his followers to help him locate her. He mentioned that he had received information about her condition but needed direct contact to assist her effectively.
“Please help me find this woman🙏🙏🙏 Am told she is from Nyandarua, Her name is Keziah Nyambura. If you know her please Comment with her number or DM Me,” Omondi stated in a previous post.
The 41-year-old woman went viral after appealing to Kenyans for assistance in funding a surgery that would improve her ability to walk and sleep comfortably.
Previous fundraiser
This comes days after the comedian launched another fundraiser to help repatriate the body of Elizabeth Cheusi, a Kenyan woman who died in Saudi Arabia over a month ago.
Cheusi had travelled to the Middle East seeking better opportunities for her children, who are now in Kenya under their grandmother’s care. Omondi shared emotional clips of the children on social media, highlighting their struggles in coming to terms with their mother’s passing.
He revealed that Ksh700,000 is needed for the repatriation and burial, with Ksh200,000 already raised. Urging Kenyans to contribute, he emphasized the urgency of reaching the target.
“Hey, guys…the story of Elizabeth Cheusi’s story is sad. She left for Saudi Arabia to fend for her young daughter and son, she left her kids with her grandmother. She passed on a month and a half ago. The fact that her children don’t even fully fathom death is sad enough. They need to bring back the body and bury her. Their lives cannot continue. We are already at 200k but we need at least 700k to fly her body home and bury her. Team sisi kwa sisi hii najua tutafunga leo na tumzike hii Saturday… let’s go… send whatever you can to the grandmother,” he stated.
