N’Golo Kante refutes secret marriage rumours to Malian woman days after funding $5 million hospital in Bamako

France superstar N’Golo Kante has been forced to deny reports that he secretly married a Malian woman during his visit to the West African country where his parents come from.

French football star N’Golo Kante has spent the better part of this week in Mali where his family resides.

Kante was born in France to Malian parents and has maintained his connection to the West African nation, where he has family, and with the club football calendar taking a break due to international fixtures, he has used the time to visit them.

The 33-year-old, named after Mali’s historical emperor Ngolo Diarra, has funded a state-of-the-art medical facility in Mali’s capital Bamako to a tune of $5 million (Ksh650 million), showing his love and commitment to the country.

Former Harambee Stars coach Francis Kimanzi has shed light on Benni McCarthy’s thoughts on the quality of the Kenyan national football team.

However, while those in Mali have lauded him for the great gesture, Kante’ visit has also generated interest following rumours that he had a secret wedding with a Malian woman.
