Police are searching for three people believed to be behind a marijuana farm in the Kidfamaco area in Kikuyu sub -county.

The officers at the Kikuyu police station visited the one -acre farm after being informed by local residents.

How the police searched for a marijuana farmer in Kikuyu

They discovered that the substance was growing in the center of the field, surrounded by vegetables and maize crops to hide it from the passers -by.

Expressing deliberate investment, the officers found sprinkles near the farm that passed water on the field.

“In addition to planting maize, there is a bank, and they have put an irrigation scheme near it. We came and confirmed, now we are looking for the landowner and those he has hired,” The chief soldier in charge of the operation said.

In further search, the officers found the harvested items dried along the field.

They began to remove marijuana the whole field to make sure it remained clean.

Despite several quarter efforts to be legalized, marijuana is considered to be one of the most illegal drugs in Kenya.

The Kenyan law on drugs and psychological drugs (regulation) states that anyone with such a drug, found guilty, should serve ten years in prison.

Also in the list of advocates for marijuana is the leader of the Roots party George Wajackoya, whose presidential nomination in 2022 was about his manifesto.
