How was the Embakasi woman killed?
According to a statement by the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI), residents reported the incident, which happened on Monday night, March 17, after hearing the gut near their homes at midnight.
DCI It said residents who reported the incident to Embakasi police allegedly found two men attacking a woman believed to be 20 years old.
However the men succeeded in escaping after discovering that the residents were approaching the scene.
“At the Embakasi police station, the three reported that they found two unidentified men forcing himself to the 20 -year -old girl, but they came out of the dark when they approached the respondents,” the statement said in part.
This resulted in police, including detectives from the Criminal Unit (CSI) to arrive at the scene, where they found the woman's corpse with a lack of air on their neck.
The body was taken to the City's corpse for storage, pending family ID and the investigation of the corpse to identify the cause of the death.
“The scene has been recorded and the body is moved to the city's corpse pending identification and examination,” DCI said.
Some women killed in 2025
Since the start of this year, several women have been killed in a traumatic situation, raising concerns about women's safety in the country.
Lydia Tokesi's family faced a difficult time accepting her death after she disappeared from home on January 4.
His badly damaged body was found in Gataka forest, Kajiado County, thus completing a weekly search.
His long -time boyfriend, Phillip Orwa, was the main suspect of the murder.
Also in January, the death of a woman known as Winnie Akusuha was reported.
Akusuha was allegedly killed in a knife by her husband, Juma Hannis Shimano, after the controversy.
It is said that Hannis died shortly afterwards, leaving their three children two girls and a boy – orphans.
On January 16, another murder was reported after 24 -year -old Alloyce Ochieng allegedly killed his wife, Laurine Ochieng.
Alloyce allegedly invited his divorced wife at home to discuss marriage matters before attacking him.
The Witnesses urged Alloyce regularly to stop the attack, but he continued until his wife died. Then he fled the scene.
This sparked anger at the Laurine family who angrily burned alloyce and her mother before heading to the mortuary to look at the deceased's body.
