After the evening prayer, the PCS and the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, participated in food distribution, serving meals and engaging with community members.

Leaders from the UAE Embassy and the Kenya Red Cross commended Kenya’s tradition of religious peaceful coexistence and inclusivity.

Mudavadi commended the Muslim community for their discipline and devotion during Ramadhan, drawing lessons that resonate beyond Muslim faith to philanthropism and humanitarian activities.

Addressing the longstanding land concerns of the Nubian community, Mudavadi reassured them of the government’s unwavering commitment to securing their rightful land.

“The 288 acres of land designated for the Nubian community is with the Kenyan government, and we are actively following up to ensure its proper allocation and utilisation,” he assured.

The PCS encouraged the Nubian community to embrace the Affordable Housing project introduced by President William Ruto, to own where they could call home with a habitable environment and social amenities.

Sheikh Ismail Mohammed Ibrahim, the Imam of the Jamia Mosque, expressed gratitude for the government’s continued support for the Muslim community and the commitment to uphold freedom of worship as enshrined in the Constitution.

The Chairman of SUPKEM noted that acts of kindness and solidarity strengthen the bonds of the nation and that when leaders take part in peace promotion, it reinforces national unity.

Commissioner of Revenue Allocation Hadija Juma, appreciated the efforts of the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, to facilitate and support the event.

She emphasised the importance of women in society and spoke to the need for continuous support for women through empowerment.

The message of the day was, ‘Kenya thrives when its people stand together. Through understanding, service, and shared values, the nation continues to build harmony, proving that unity is its greatest strength’.

The government, together with the UAE embassy, promised to support the community, including addressing the development of the mosque and the welfare of the Nubian community.
