Anne Amadi, 10 other candidates are successful in the IEBC chairman

A panel tasked with selecting the new Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and commissioners is continuing to renew the re -election of the electoral body.

The team with nine members managed by Nelson Makanda has listed 11 candidates for the position of chairman and 105 of the commissioners.

How the IEBC appointment panel will conduct an interview

Oral interviews for those nominated to hold the position of Chairman will be held at the Ballroom Hall at the Insurance College, South C in Nairobi County, for four days between March 24 and 26, and will be publicized.

In its notice, the panel informed the applicants appointed to submit their citizenship and qualifications while attending the interview.

For example, they are required to come up with their own national identity or passport, and the nature of their testimonies and certificates.

They are also required to bring proof of approval from various organizations, such as the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the Higher Education Credit Board, the Kenya Tax Authority (KRA), the Ethics and Anti -Corruption Commission (EACC), and the University Education Commission for applicants with certificates from foreign universities; and any of the credit offices.

105 prospective commissioners will be interviewed for almost one month between March 27 and April 24.

At the same time, citizens were invited to submit a statement on the conduct of applicants.

Meanwhile, the commission's secretariat recently revealed that it would require at least 61.7 billion KSh from the Treasury to organize the 2027 general election.

Part of the funds would also be directed, among other reasons, access to new electoral resources, technology improvement and payment of employees in charge of electoral processes from low to national level.
