Paul Pogba has made up his mind on where he wants to play next after seeing his 18-month doping ban come to an end this week.
Paul Pogba has reportedly decided to delay his return to competitive football until next season to focus on regaining full fitness and also possibly get a club in Europe.
Pogba saw his 18-month doping ban end on March 11 which effectively now allows him to play but his options are limited as only the MLS and Japan J-League have their transfer windows still open.
However, according to ESPN, Pogba prefers to play in Europe as he is looking to win back his place in the France national team and has opted to wait until the end of the season before exploring his options.
Sources tell ESPN that Pogba has rejected offers from the Saudi Pro League and Brazil and that he has also received offers from Marseille in France, Fiorentina in Italy as well as a host of Spanish La Liga teams.
CAF president Patrice Motsepe has set high expectations for his fellow South African Benni McCarthy who was recently appointed Harambee Stars coach.
Pogba is reportedly eyeing a place in the France team for the 2026 World Cup and wants a Champions League or Europa League club that will give him the best possible chance of returning to Didier Deschamps’ team for the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
