Tanzanian national team coach Hemed Suleiman 'Morocco', has announced a 24 -team squad that will enter the camp tomorrow Saturday, with captain Mbwana Samatta and goalkeeper Aishi Manula being dropped for different reasons, losing three Singida BS champions who changed his citizenship.
Stars are preparing for the qualifier for the 2026 World Cup against Morocco on March 26 and Samatta has been knocked out for injuries while Manula in the Chan and AFCON 2025 squad has not been included in the squad.
Stars will play the game in the semifinals, including players playing locally and abroad, including from the English, Denmark, Australia, Iraq, Turkey, and Morocco.
Among the stars named are Simon Msuva (Al-Talaba SC, Iraq), Kelvin John (Aalborg BK, Denmark), and Selemani Master (Wydad Casablanca, Morocco).
Coach Morocco, announced the squad earlier today and emphasized preparations will be carefully held to ensure that the team has the quality of competing with Morocco at home as they are one of the best teams in Africa and the world at large.
“We want the opportunity to go to the World Cup and this is everyone's dream. We have considered what players we have for this season are now the players we have seen can help us in the game, ”said Morocco who was asked about the soul of three Singida BS champions, Emmanuel Keyekeh (27), Arthur Bada (22) and Damaro Camara (21) in his squad, Morocco said; “About those players I can't say anything because I'm not sure about changing their citizenship and those information I just hear online and newspapers.”
The absence of the captain of the squad, Mr Samatta, who has been at the best of now in Greece with PAOK, the coach said it was due to injuries while claiming this was an opportunity for other players.
“Samatta's lack as a team is supposed to have a plan B (alternative method) in football. I believe we have young people who can play at standards,” he said.
The game is one of the key steps for Tanzania in the 2026 World Cup qualifier, where fans expect to see the squad compete for the African Rockets and get good results.
