Nairobi – The National Police Service (NPS) has issued a statement about a fatal accident involving a presidential caravan William Ruto.

On Thursday, March 13, a foreign national was hit and killed by a fast -paced car connected to the presidential caravan along Ngong Road.
In a statement, NPS spokesman Muchiri Nyaga said an investigation was started following the accident.
“Following a road accident that occurred today at the Adams Arcade Stadium along Ngong Road, which involved government vehicles and resulted in the death of a pedestrian, a national police service handling the matter, and investigations have begun,” Muchiri said.
Muchiri wanted any Kenyan who witnessed the accident to report to the nearby police station to assist in the investigation.
“We urge anyone with information that can assist in the investigation to report to a nearby police station or through our free 999, 911, 112,” NPS said.
At the same time, Muchiri called on drivers and pedestrians to comply with traffic rules to prevent such serious accidents in the future.
“The national police service calls on motorists, pedestrians, and all other road users to be very careful and comply with traffic rules to prevent accidents,” said NPS.
Reports suggested that a male victim was dropped to the ground as he tried to cross a busy road while President Ruto's caravan traveling from Lang'ata to Kibra for the project.
The incident occurred near the Adams Arcade area with the caravan from Lang'ata to the Kibra parliament.
