Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has firmly denied claims that he met with President William Ruto, dismissing a viral video that has been circulating on social media which shows an interaction between the two leaders.
In a statement, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Kalonzo, questioned why his political opponents are panicking, emphasizing that the People’s Loyal Coalition remains steadfast in its commitment to the people, asserting that no amount of manipulation or false narratives could alter their resolve to stand by Kenyans.
“Why are they so panicky? The People’s Loyal Coalition will never be a party to the biggest betrayal of Kenyans for political expediency and temporary comfort,” he stated.
Kalonzo further categorically stated that the viral clip was shot on March 9, 2024, during the presentation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report at State House.

The video, which was widely shared, shows Kalonzo and Ruto’s interaction at the State House, leading to false assumptions about his political stance.
According to Kalonzo, is a desperate attempt to tarnish his image and sow division within his political pact with Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa and Rigathi Gachagua.

Kalonzo on Raila-Ruto pact
Kalonzo, on Friday, March 7, 2025, expressed disappointment, arguing that Raila and Ruto’s pact had betrayed Kenyans.
Speaking after Raila-Ruto’s pact agreement event, Kalonzo regretted that the union between the two parties would still be dismissed by the public following the Kenya Kwanza policies refuted by the members of the public.
“What has come out of KICC today is the biggest betrayal of Kenyans. The People’s Loyal Coalition will never betray Kenyans for temporary comfort,” Kalonzo said.
He also pointed out that Raila would be betraying Kenyans if he failed to advocate for the compensation of Kenyans killed and injured during the Finance Bill protests.
“If out of what they are signing at KICC, they do not come with a formula on how to address the injustice meted on Kenyans on June 25 and 2023 that will be betrayal in the city. Handshake or no handshake, Ruto must go,” he added.
Raila and Ruto officially signed the framework agreement which they say is meant to enable ODM to collaborate with Kenya Kwanza in fulfilling campaign pledges to the people.
“This moment is not about William Ruto or Raila Odinga; this memorandum of understanding is not about sharing positions or winning elections. It is about the interests of the people of Kenya,” Ruto said.
