Kikuyu benga musician Samidoh Muchoki and Gatundu North MP Kururia Njoroge left comedian Henry Desagu overjoyed after attending his parents’ thanksgiving ceremony and gifting him Ksh1 million as a contribution.
In a video shared by YouTuber 2Mbili, who was also present at the event on Tuesday, March 12, 2025, Samidoh is seen clutching a brown bag filled with cash, while the MP stands beside him as they begin showering Desagu with money.
They started by dropping Ksh100,000, then continued in the same manner, stacking Ksh100,000 after another, leaving Desagu in suspense as the amount steadily climbed to Ksh900,000, all while attendees clapped in jubilation.
However, upon reaching Ksh900,000, Samidoh—who was in charge of handing the money to the MP for announcement—cheekily tucked the remaining Ksh100,000 into his jacket, only to dramatically produce it after a brief pause.
The playful gesture had the attendees in laughter, with the MP hailing him for knowing how to execute a well-timed joke.
The event, held at Desagu’s parents’ home, was graced by an array of top Kikuyu celebrities, including cross-dressing content creator Dada Sarah, Anne Muratha, Mofarm JM, Moses Mwenda, Damaris wa Dama Spares, and influencer Sleepy David, among others.

According to Desagu, the turnout was overwhelming and far beyond his expectations.
A few hours after the event, he took time to express his gratitude to everyone who attended, saying the love and support he received had deeply moved him.
He further shared his hopes that God would open new doors for him, especially after coming forward about his financial struggles, adding that he could not be more grateful for the Ksh1 million donation he received from Samidoh and MP Kururia.
“I have every reason to glorify God for a great event. Big blessings to have guests today at my parents’ home. God bless Hon. Elijah Njoroge Kururia, Hon. Anne Muratha, Mofarm JM, Hon. Moses Mwenda, Damaris Wa Dama Spares, John Cina Cina, Samidoh, HSC, Dada Sarah, Sleepy David, and all the guests who came and supported me with prayers and financial support. Thank you for the Ksh 1 million support. May God open new doors for me and change my life for the better,” he wrote.
MP Kururia takes swipe at Ruto
During the occasion, after handing over the money to the comedian, MP Kururia took a moment to address the attendees, making it clear that, unlike President William Ruto, he fulfils his promises. For this, he urged those present to take note that he had brought the money to Desagu as pledged.
Then he went on to boast that he was nothing like the head of state, adding that he does not plead with people over matters he has already decided upon.
He even joked that if anyone wanted to occupy Desagu’s parents home, as had been with Ruto’s case when he donated Ksh20M to JWM church, they were free to do so.

According to him, he had given the money to Desagu with a clean heart, and he hoped that God would use it to bless the comedian and open new opportunities for him.
“Mimi sitawabembeleza kama vile Ruto huwa anawabembeleza. Mkitaka kuoccupy, mkuje moccupy. Na hizo pesa ni za Desagu, tumempea, and that is his favour. Na Mungu ambariki,” he remarked.
