Why is the verification of applicants IDs important
During his speech, Natembeya called on the President to oppose his decision to overturn the review of applicants north and northeastern Kenya.
He noted that the president's move is reckless and puts the country in security threats.
According to Natembeya, the audit of applicants does not shut the legitimate citizens out of the process as it is believed by many.
He said the procedure is important in freezing the insecurity and terrorism issues outside the process.
The governor advised Ruto to reconsider his decision to ensure that terrorists do not take the opportunity to be stopped entering the country; He said the process could be reconsidered to eliminate any aspect of discrimination.
“I humble, humbly, instead of removing the verification, reviewing it and correcting it so that those who sit on the committee are well paid to discourage them from corrupt practices. The verification does not stop Kenyans who are eligible for their IDs. We do not oppose those in the north-east to get their IDs. “ Natembeya said.
