Veteran socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidika has voiced her frustrations over the challenges plus-size women face in public spaces.
Taking to her official Instagram account on Friday, March 7, 2025, Vera shared a video highlighting the challenges she faces as a plus-size woman in hospitality and entertainment spaces.
The bubbly socialite, while documenting her struggle to find a seat where she can comfortably sit, emphasised the need for restaurants to provide bigger seats to accommodate curvier women comfortably.
“This is one of the biggest struggles in my day-to-day life, today was a beautiful day so I decided to head out and have something for lunch, of course, I can not say that am surprised this happened, it normally happens but am just raising awareness, it is 2025 and people come in all sizes and shapes, The struggles we go through out here ain’t funny,” Vera said.
“Dear restaurants, we need bigger seats … I think it is high time restaurants prioritise thick girls like us so we could be able to have our meals properly, thick girls’ life matters.”
Vera’s message has undoubtedly started an important conversation about plus-size women and whether entertainment joints should alter their seating arrangements to accommodate curvy customers.

Over the years, Vera has openly shared her journey through various cosmetic procedures, each step adding a unique touch to her signature look.
However, in October 2022, the mother of two shocked many after disclosing that her curvy body is natural during a question-and-answer (Q$ A) section with her fans adding that she has always had bigger booty since her days in high school and was nicknamed for being curvy.
The socialite, further added that when she started using contraceptives it enhanced the size.
“Yes, I have always had a big booty and was always shy about it until I came to Nairobi and everyone made me feel like it was so precious. The thing is, I added a lot of weight coz of contraceptives so the Nyas added weight too. My high school mates will tell you my nickname wa Wezere,” she responded to the fan.
