James Gitahi: A veteran pilot of the President's plane dies in a road accident Machakos

Former President James Gitahi Nguyo has died in a road accident in a salt junction at the highway to Mombasa.

It is said that the retired colonel's car collided face -to -face with a truck that was coming before burning in the inside.

According to Citizen television, Gitahi, who was alone in the car, was reportedly trying to pass the truck but thought badly the distance to the coming truck, causing a fatal accident.

Gitahi, the husband of the nominee Senator Betty Batuli Montet, was killed in an accident on Wednesday, March 5, at 17:30 am.

Until the emergency ministers arrived at the scene of the accident after the alarm was rang, they were late; Gitahi was already burned.

The truck driver broke his left leg as a result of the accident and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Gitahi, a former Kenyan Air Force pilot, fired a second president of Kenya, Daniel Arap Moiand third president, Mwai Kibaki.
