How I would rule Kenya as President – Maraga
He said if he succeeded in his mission, he would implement the rule of law, which he said was a Kenyan problem.
Maraga also mentioned the interference of other independent government and institutions as other major challenges affecting the country.
He said he would fix things if he took the presidency.
“Often, the executive does not want to lock himself in his line, and that is where problems arise. And in democracy, you need a court, you need a parliament, and you need executives, as well as many independent commissions, to carry out their duties and work within their spheres of influence, and we will have a very good country to rule this country.
Why does Maraga want to run for president?
His statement comes after several weeks of concern by some people for the residence.

Maraga was known as a brave leader who was willing to defend the judiciary despite attacks from other government hands.
Former President of the Kenyan Law Society (LSK) Nelson Havi is among those who want the name of the former Chief Justice in the presidential vote in 2027.
According to Havi, the former Chief Justice is not compared to issues of accountability and manner.
Maraga retired in 2021 after five years in the judicial department.
His position was in Kenya's history, especially after canceling the presidential election in the 2017 election, making Kenya the first country in Africa to overturn the presidential election.
