The elder had been locked in the house for more than six months by his birth son, who was expected to take care of him.

“Dad was an accident in June, I was the one who was treating him, we took him to the hospital where he received treatment, I stayed with him for one year and two months, stayed with him alone, and later he was recovering and left his house.

“When it came to that time my brother took him in, after every family came to see my father, my brother was stopping them from seeing him, after seeing my father's condition, I went to report to the relevant authorities,” He said.

Mbori's younger brother said he and some family members had not been in contact with the elder for several months.

However, they believed Mbuori was in good hands when his son offered to take care of him.

“Whenever we wanted to meet Mbori, his son was talking about danger and he was forbidding us to talk to him, we didn't want to invent anything and so we always put it away,” Said Mboma Makananga.

Mwaba Shabani, a neighbor of Mbori, admitted that the old man was not living in a generous environment.

She was worried about the dirty environment that her baby was bound, which was not good for her health.

Mbori speaking after being saved by family
