In an interview with Daily NationMwai said that no money from the president had been received since he promised his contribution on Sunday, March 6.

According to him, the promise has not yet been fulfilled, contrary to the public belief that President Ruto sent the money immediately after making the promise.

“The worship was a businessman, and I urge you to watch the video and show me where my team person or board member received the donation. The newspaper quoted him as saying.

The preacher's explanation came at a time when part of Kenyans were planning to 'invade' his church on Sunday, March 9, in search of millions of alleged corruption income.

Addressing the church members on Sunday, March 2, President Ruto praised the church's efforts in contributing to the growth of the economy, especially by the abduction of the Church youth in various aspects of the labor market.

Ruto promised to contribute privately KSh 20 million to the construction of the modern Jesus Winner Ministry worship center, which Mwai revealed requires approximately KSh 1 billion to be completed.

In addition to his cash contribution, the President also promised to involve his friends to contribute more KSh 100 million to the construction project.

In addition, he revealed that he intervened and made the Kenyan Defense Force (KDF) allocate part of their camp land for the construction of a half -kilometer paved road to the church.

Meanwhile, a group of four Kenyans wrote a letter to Mwai demanding that he return the president's promises.

Through their lawyer Ndegwa Njiru, the group claimed that the pastor would be a false recipient for accepting the donation.
