Full List: Anne Amadi, Charles Nyachae out of 37 who spit in the IEBC chairperson

Nairobi – The Panel of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has published the applicants for the vacancy of the chair.

In a statement to the media on Thursday, March 6, the chairman of the nomination panel, Nelson Makanda said that 37 people applied for the position of chairman IEBC.

The panel also published the county where the applicants came from the applicants and their reputation.

Did Anne Amadi apply for the IEBC position?

According to Makanda, among those who applied for the position were 31 men, six women and three people with disabilities (disabled).

According to a list published by the nomination panel, former Chief Registrar Anne Amadi, former IEBC CEO James Oswago, and Kenyan Electricity Board Chairman Joy Brenda Mdivo are among the 37 people who look at the seat of the IEBC chairman.

Other prominent candidates include former Nairobi County parliamentary secretary Jacob Ngwele, former Constitutional Committee Chairman Charles Nyachae and human rights activist Kaikai Kissinge.

When will the IEBC commission be fully formed?

Previously, the nomination panel assured Kenyans that the full election council would be ready within two months.

According to the guidelines issued by the team -led team, Kenyans should expect IEBC commissioners to be on duty by the end of April this year.

President William Ruto appointed a panel of nine members to hire commissioners for the 2027 general election after several months of running back and pushing with members of Union Declaration Coalition Party.
