The family seemed to be immersed in thought when they paid their last respects at Lee's mortuary in Nairobi ahead of a reminder at Citam Karen church on March 5.
Standing sadly, his daughter Rachel Chebikati looked at her father for a short time, her face shining with a sudden smile, she might remember the good moments she celebrated together.
In a video shared online, Rachel and her younger brother Emmanuel seem to look into the coffin before whispering a few words.

The former Kenyan, Mercy Kwamboka, told TUKO.co.ke that it is normal for a person to smile during sadness.
“When you are in pain, sometimes you can't control your emotions. He may have been smiling, but feelings vary. Please find comfort knowing that he is in a good place,” Kwamboka explained.

When did Chebikati die?
Chebikati died on Thursday, February 20, undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
Former Chairman of IEBC He was in an intensive care unit (ICU) for about a week before he died.
Initially, he was receiving treatment at home, but when his condition worsened, he was admitted to Nairobi Hospital where he struggled and eventually died.
According to his family, in 2024 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had twice undergoing surgery before his condition began to weaken earlier this year.
