Bomet – Kaplong Boys' High School has plunged into mourning following the sudden death of his headmaster, Mike Yator.

According to reports, Yator fell and died in his residence within the school area.
Bomet County Police Commander, Edward Ibwaga, confirmed the tragic incident, saying that the head of the headmaster was transferred to the mortuary awaiting further investigation as the cause of the cause of the death began.
How did the principal of Kaplong school die?
Education news reported that Yator was happy on Monday, March 3, as he welcomed students from the middle of the semester.
He made sure everything was okay until 9:30 a.m. He mentioned feeling a little tired before retirement at night.
However, anxiety increased on Tuesday morning when he failed to report to his office. Concerned workers went to look at him in his residence, where they discovered his lifeless body.
The Union of Post Office Education Teachers (KUPPET) responded to the sad news, with Bomet Vice Chairman Peter Bett visiting the school and urging the community to remain calm.
He referred to Yator as a dedicated teacher whose leadership and commitment to the well -being of the students will be very absent.
Kuppet officials from neighboring Kericho County, including executive secretary Mary Rotich and treasurer Zablon Kipkoech Rono, also expressed their shock and sadness, giving their condolences to the family of the late head of schools, students, teachers, and the entire school community.

Political leaders mourned the principal of Kaplong boys' school
The huge loss has led to sadness from national and local government leaders. Bomet governor, Hillary Bartok, described Yator as an enthusiastic and volunteer teacher whose impact on the education sector would be very felt.
“I have learned with great shock and sadness of the sudden farewell to Mike Yator, the head of the Kaplong Boys' High School. Under his careful leadership, Kaplong Boys focused on additional studies and academic activities. The teacher will be very remembered,” The governor wrote in a post.
Bomet Senator, Hillary Sigei, also praised Yator, and praised her leadership and unable to compare the quality of the subjects.
Additionally, Bomet's Women's Representative, Linet Chepkorir, joined the condolences, noting that Yator's death was not only a loss for Kaplong Boys' High School but for the entire education community in the area.
Headmaster of primary school teachers dies in a road accident
Yator's death closely follows Johnson Nzioka, former chairman of the Kenya Primary School Teachers (Kepsha).
Nzioka lost his life on February 16, in a road accident on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway near Athi River.
The Nairobi court issued orders to suspend his funeral awaiting a hearing on the family's late family matters, which was removed by the teacher buried.
