Kenya's national football team Harambee Stars It has been doing the lowest level despite having a lot of talented players in the country.

5. Francis Kimanzi

The successful McCarthy has been leading the national team for three different sessions.

One of his most successful is the first one where he led Kenya to his highest list of FIFA so far when he ranked 68th. Afcon But he reached the final round of the 2010 World Cup qualifier.

4. Eckard Krautzun

The German replaced Elijah Lindonde and served for only one year. He was the first coach to lead the Harambee Stars to qualify for the 1972 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.

Kenya lost its first game against Cameroon before scoring against Togo and Mali when they left earlier.

Krautzun is praised for introducing new changes that included the goalkeeper and new ranks that have never been seen in Kenyan football.

The famous radio coach has also been in charge of the national team at different times. His best player came in 2004 where he sent Harambee Stars to AFCON organized in Tunisia – the last time the nation played in the tournament for 15 years.

In Tunisia, the Mulee squad did not come out of the group stage after being tied 3-1 by Mali and 3-0 by Senegal. However, Harambee Stars will leave the tournament with a fast after defeating Burkina Faso 3-0 in the final match of the group.

2. Mohamed Kheri

Kheri led Kenya to qualify for AFCON, first in 1990 and then two years later. Harambee Stars came out of the draw with Senegal but failed by Zambia and Cameroon in other group games.

In 1992, the teams were organized into three teams each, with Kenya losing to Nigeria and the inhabitants of Senegal.

The German is the most successful coach ever to the Harambee Stars. He led Kenya in three different phases where he led Kenya to finish second in the 1987 (All-Africa Games).

Kenya came from a group with Cameroon, Tunisia and Madagascar but lost to Egypt in the finals. He also led the country to the AFCON of 1988 after the 16 -year break but did not lead it to the match against Morocco.

Fabisch returned in 1997 and nearly sending the country to the 1998 World Cup in France. The Olympic champions at the time Nigeria were on their way. They left a 1-1 draw in Nairobi before defeating 3-0 in Lagos to quench the hope of the World Cup.

The former attacker passed away in 2008.

Marshall Mulwa He also deserves a missile after leading the Harambee Stars to win three consecutive CECAFA Senior Challenge cups in the early 80's.

All eyes to McCarthy now with the 2026 World Cup still possible with the 2027 AFCON that Kenya will prepare together.
