The two-time Boston Marathon champion urged athletes to be keen when selecting spouses, insisting that they contribute a lot to an athlete’s success.
She noted that when a spouse is supportive and caring, then an athlete is more likely to perform whether on the track, field or the roads and vice versa is also true.

Upon her relocation to the US, Hellen Obiri revealed that her first days there were tough but having her family beside her made things easy.
She admitted that there were some days she never felt like training but her husband and daughter would accompany her to the camp and there, she would feel supported.
“However, I thank God that I have a supportive family. When we moved here, it was terrible for us. My family gave 100% and wanted to know everything about my workout,” she shared.
As she continues to shine on the global scene, Hellen Obiri’s family is the motivation behind her success owing to the invaluable support they offer.
