Nairobi – The family of former Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Fula chebikati It has made a special request to Kenyans.

Former Chairman of IEBC He died on February 20 while receiving treatment at a hospital in Nairobi.

Chebikati's death created a hybrid feeling due to its role in the country's election process.

However, speaking to the Nation, his brother Chebikati called on Kenyans to stop criticizing the former IEBC chairman.

According to his brother Chebikati, some Kenyan criticism is the same as defiling him, which hurts them as a family.

He said Kenyans blame him for things he did not do, while referring to the deceased as a clean and moral man who followed the law.

“It is painful to lose him. Especially when we see an attacking attack, it hurts us as a family because we know what kind of person he was. But I would like to tell Kenyans that they crucify someone for wrongdoing. Said his sad brother.

He remembered how even Chebikati never helped them get a job or act in government because he was fully following the law.

Kenyans are worried about the deaths of IEBC chiefs

Part of Kenyans has voiced their concerns following Chebikati's death, especially since he was healthy and strong all the time of his leadership in the Electoral Commission.

Chebikati became ill shortly after leaving the office and died two years after retirement.

The lawyer's death sparked public debate, compared to the death of Samuel Kivuitu, who oversees the Kenyan electoral commission during the 2007 complex elections.
