Machakos – One family in Athi River is left with a surprise after discovering a small coffin with a living chicken being thrown into the edge of their 200 -acre piece of land.

The strange event has left the whole community in fear, with many questioning the reasons for the act.
The land on the border of Kajiado and Machakos, is owned by three widows inherited from their late husband.
However, tensions have escalated in recent weeks after a new plaintiff emerged, claiming ownership of the property.
Police officers from Athi River have taken the coffin and launched an investigation into the case, but the incident has left widows and residents to be uncomfortable.
How did the widows of Machakos get the coffin
One of the widows narrated an encouraging occasion they had known about the coffin, explaining that the family had given the young man a assignment to protect the farm.
He explained that the young man discovered the discovery and he had notified them and the whole family.
“This information I received early in the morning when I woke up, I was told that in our Empakasi land there was a coffin and chickens inside, I decided to come and witness, we gave one boy to protect this land, and in the morning he saw it and reported to the neighbors, these are neighbors,” He said.
Grace Asai, another widow, emphasized that the land is their property and expressed frustration over the new plaintiff's actions.
“We were phoned by chiefs, who informed us that the coffin was found here. It was not an adult coffin but a child, and there was no corpse inside. He said.

John Sayore, a resident of the area, called for stability and called on those involved in land disputes to resolve their differences in peace.
They said that such a mysterious event could be interpreted as a bad warning aimed at scaring legitimate owners.
“This event that happened here is sad and shocking, when we got the information we ran and found this coffin, we also heard there were some strange things happening here, but we would like to say we residents of this area are peaceful people and we do not want such violence.
This is a serious threat that has even offended us. Maybe we are not involved in these things, but we are drawn into it. When you see something like this, you are completely shocked. We ask God to take away this situation. If there are continuous conflicts, it should be resolved so that the truth is known, ” Sayore said.

Aside, the user of Tiktok Timsati shared a video capturing a midnight incident with a man who was moving on the paved road at 11 pm.
As he approached, his lights illuminated the man who was lying on the road, causing him to slow down but not stop.
The video, quoted “was a trap! These are highway settings,” sparked debates among social network users.
Many narrated such incidents, suggesting such incidents can be organized to expose unexpected drivers.
