Speaking to Kikamba language radio stations on Wednesday, February 26, Gachagua said that the process of ousting him brought him great popularity among Kenyans.
He even thanked the President William Ruto by approved his chopping.
“The dismissal has not diminished my ability to mobilize Kenyan citizens politically. In fact, my removal has made me more popular than ever. I thank the President for chasing me because my influence is now higher than ever,“Gachagua said.
Gachagua emphasized that his removal did not change his life, except for the loss of benefits and benefits associated with being in power.
He said that he now has a strong understanding of politics and can make serious decisions and have a strong influence on the national sphere.
However, Gachagua suggested that he plans to oppose his dismissal in all possible ways in order to achieve his goal of pursuing a political position.
In Kenya, people who are ousted cannot hold public positions, whether they are nominated or elected.
The former vice president expressed a willingness to reach the Supreme Court to oppose the decision to oust him.
He cited Kiambu Senator, Karungo Thangwa, who contested and won the 2022 election despite being ousted in office.
Gachagua suggested his strategy to hold the case in the Supreme Court and move it to the highest courts when the right time arrives.
“No one can stop you from contesting because you have a case that is still incomplete in court. The law states that the right to contest for political position is a fundamental right. The project has not completed all the legal ways of seeking justice, no one can stop you from contesting, that is the law . He said.
