Why was Lai not pleased by the government?
On Sunday, February 23, the founder of Jesus Celebration Center (JCC) announced that corrupt people live under a curse and face early death.
Lai's remarks came following a report that referred to Ruto as the second leader of corruption in the world.
Bishop Lai used the pulpit to accuse corrupt politicians, accusing them of looting the country and declaring that they were cursed.
