The two-time Frankfurt Marathon winner is staring at a lengthy ban after being cited for the use of a prohibited substance from a test conducted in November 2024.

Two-time Frankfurt marathon champion Brimin Misoi Kipkorir faces the prospect of a doping ban after being provisionally suspended from competition due to a failed drug test.

Kipkorir could become the next Kenyan athlete to join the list of shame after the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) handed him the suspension on Monday due to the Presence/Use of Prohibited Substances (EPO, Furosemide).

The said substances were found in his sample which was collected out-of-competition on November 22, 2024.

Kenya is ramping up preparation co-host the postponed 2024 CHAN games and the 2027 AFCON.

Kipkorir has carved a career for himself in road racing, having won the Sydney Marathon last September, just two months before the race was elevated to a World Marathon Major in November.
