In a bid to build on the success of the prestigious golf tournament, Principal of Secretary Peter Tum has unveiled plans to launch the Kenya Golf Tour, an initiative designed to provide a structured pathway for amateur and aspiring golfers to transition into the professional ranks.
The announcement was made during the prize-giving ceremony at Muthaiga Golf Club.

“This initiative will not only nurture young golfers but also break the perception of golf as an elitist sport, making it more accessible to a wider population,” said Tum.
The government aims to leverage this initiative to broaden the sport’s reach while ensuring grassroots development remains a key focus.
The 2025 Magical Kenya Open concluded with South African Jacques Kruyswijk emerging victorious, overcoming England’s John Parry to claim his first DP World Tour title.
