The FKF Premier League champions secured a routine win against the National Division Two side, courtesy of goals from Samuel Onyango, Boniface Omondi, and Austin Odhiambo.
However, the Croatian tactician highlighted a specific weakness in their game that needs to be addressed ahead of the critical derby encounter.

“We enjoyed today. We insisted on some things in training—lots of passes, creativity, and remaining calm—and we did a good job,” Mihic said in his post-match conference.
“We are satisfied with what we saw. Just maybe finishing, yes, because we really created a lot of chances today, but we didn’t score as much as we created. That’s the only small minus,” he added.

With the clash against KSG Ogopa marking Gor Mahia’s third game in seven days, Mihic underscored the importance of managing player energy levels to ensure optimal performance.
“For every other game, we need to be clever about managing energy. We will give some players rest and start preparing our strategy for Leopards. We are happy because we played this game with courage and ambition, and I believe we will win the next one,” he asserted.
The coach also used the match as an opportunity to rotate his squad, giving playing time to those who had not featured prominently under his tenure.
