The wife of Kenyan singer Kelvin Bahati, socialite Diana Marua, has come out to express just how anxious she is as her husband gears up to unveil the eighth and final gift in the grand lineup of surprises he had planned for her in celebration of their eighth marriage anniversary.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Monday, February 24, 2025, Diana admitted that she was overwhelmed with anticipation, confessing that she simply can not wait for the final gift, which she believes will be the grandest of them all, and that she is even contemplating asking her husband to postpone it.
“I am truly humbled. Just to let you know, guys, I am not ready for tomorrow at 3 p.m. Hi babe, can we postpone gift No. 8?” she shared.
7th gift
Diana’s video was captured from an event they held earlier in the day, where Bahati introduced her to his extended family, including his great-grandfather, as part of his seventh anniversary gift to her, which also includes an upcoming getaway.
During the occasion, the couple took time to address a gathering of Bahati’s relatives at their family home in Machakos, where they spoke fondly about how much they cherished his extended family, despite the absence of his immediate parents, who had both passed away.

The couple, accompanied by their children and two close friends, were welcomed with pomp and colour at the event, where the tents and seating areas had been adorned in traditional hues.
Festivities kicked off with vibrant dancing before the gathering settled down to hear their speeches.
Diana was flanked by her two sisters, Mitchelle Ngoje, the last-born, and Valerie Omach, her younger sister, both of whom also took the stage to express their joy at seeing the beautiful home their sister had built through marriage.
Bahati’s speech
Bahati, who was the man of the hour, spoke at length and began by thanking his great-grandfather, known as Nau, who, according to relatives, is an astounding 108 years old.
“Nimesema nilete bibi yangu kuintroduce yeye na familia yangu officially kwa grandpa akuje at least ajue mjukuu wake,” Bahati stated.
However, the tone shifted when he began reminiscing about his late mother, recalling how one of his closest aunts, Mama Mwende, had stepped in to support him after his mother’s passing.
The gathering took an emotional turn when Bahati opened the floor for anyone who might have unresolved issues with a family member to come forward and reconcile. It was then that Mama Mwende stood up and assured everyone that she had no grudges and had been there for Bahati since he lost his mother.
Diana’s Speech
Diana also took to the podium, delivering a heartfelt speech in which she acknowledged that she would be nothing if it were not for Bahati, and expressed deep gratitude to his family for raising him so well.

She went on to say that she was certain Bahati’s mother was smiling from heaven upon seeing that they had decided to visit her family, adding that she was convinced Bahati’s late mother would appear to him in a dream—a dream filled with happiness.
“Na mi najua vile tumefurahia, mbinguni wamefurahia. Hata vile tumekutana hapa, najua mama yake Bahati kule aliko mbinguni anafurahia na atakutokea kwa ndoto usiku na itakuwa ndoto ya furaha na ndoto ya kusema. Asanteni sana kwa kunilelea mume kwa uwezo wenu. Najua haikuwa rahisi. Huyu ni roho yangu, na niko mahali niko juu yake.”
8th Gift
The couple is set to wrap up their eight-part anniversary gift series on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, with what Bahati himself has described as one of the biggest surprises yet.
In a post shared on his social media, Bahati teased that the final gift would be unlike anything before, urging fans to stay alert for the grand reveal.
“Dear fellow Kenyans, tomorrow I am giving the last gift, No. 8, at 3 p.m., and it will not be business as usual. Chukueni off day,” he shared.
