Faster than lightening: 3 Athletes who have broken Usain Bolt’s record

Three athletes have risen to the challenge, breaking Usain Bolt’s records and signaling a new era of speed in track and field.

“I’ll be heading to the Seoul Marathon in South Korea next month and I hope to finish in the podium bracket,” Daniel Ebenyo said.

The reigning world 10,000m silver medallist started his 2025 season at the Kenyan Cross Country Championships where he claimed top honors.

Last season, Ebenyo endured a tough time, missing out on the Paris Olympic Games where he fell and finished a distant eighth. He headed to the Boston 10k race where he finished third and later proceeded to finish second at the Atlanta Journal Constitution Peachtree Road Race.

Daniel Ebenyo made his highly-anticipated full marathon debut in Chicago, finishing fifth before rounding up his season with a second-place finish at the Tata Steel Kolkata World 25K.

As things stand in 2025, Ebenyo is unsure about making the Kenyan team to the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

However, in previous interviews, Daniel Ebenyo has expressed his interest in representing the country, especially after missing the Paris Olympic Games.
