Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga and ODM -elected MP Catherine Mumma have been elected chairman of the key committee.

The recent agreement between Ruto and Raila means that close allies of the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua They will lose their positions.

Following the new agreement, the President allowed the union of Union Declaration One Kenya leading some of the committees held by Kenya First Alliance.

In what committee was Oginga Oginga nominated?

On Thursday, February 20, Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga was elected Chairman of the Senate's Standing Committee on Energy.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, William Kisang, will be the deputy of his brother Raila on the powerful committee.

The committee, which was previously under the chairmanship of the Nueri Senator, Hamoma, handles issues related to the extraction of fuel, development, production, maintenance, and control of the energy sector in the country.

Meanwhile, Catherine Mumma, another close ally of the ODM leader, was elected Vice -Chairman of the Senate's Standing Committee on Degree and Government relations.

The Kiambu Senator, Karungo of Thang'wa, has now been given a new position on the Division Committee after being removed from the Transport Committee.

Responding to the change, Thang'wa promised to push for the full transfer of all the responsibilities divided along with his related resources.

“After my removal from the Road, Transport and Housing Committee, I was reorganized on the Division Committee.
