In condolences, Uhuru praised Köhler's leadership, dedicated to international issues in promoting African development.
“Personally, he was more than a co -worker, he was a friend. The inheritance of former president Köhler is defined not only with his time as president of the German Federation, but with a strange heart and vision he brought to international affairs,” he said.
He focused on Köhler's goal for Africa, noting his efforts to promote sustainable development and wildlife conservation programs across the continent.
Uhuru recalled Köhler's visit to Kenya, where he oversaw the goals of sustainable development and emphasized wildlife conservation, which is a key pillar for Kenya.
“What happened most during the visit was his commitment to ensure that the benefits of development are shared equally – every time to enable society,” Independence noted.
The Jubilee party leader also touched on Köhler's belief in the capacity of Africa, emphasizing the importance of institutions, youth, and innovation in creating the future of the continent.
“He knew in order to reduce divisions between continents, the cooperation, respect, and benefits of all sides. He was a tireless advocate for using education and technical training as a resource for permanent change,” he added.
In his last speech, Kenyatta urged the attendees to celebrate Köhler's permanent heritage, saying that his efforts to cooperate with international cooperation and sustainable development left an unpredictable mark in the world.

Earlier that day, the retired president visited German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Bellevue palace in Berlin.
