DJ Mo and Size 8 reunite in an intimate wedding after months apart
Gospel power couple DJ Mo and Size 8 have hit the refresh button on their love story, officially reuniting in a grand private wedding months after their highly publicized breakup.
Videos from the wedding, shared by digital creator Sleemtee Kenya on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, have since gone viral. The footage captures the couple dancing joyfully as they celebrate their renewed commitment to each other.
This special occasion comes just days after DJ Mo and Size 8 got engaged on Valentine’s Day. The couple took to Instagram on Friday, February 14, 2025, to share a heartfelt video of their second proposal. In the emotional post, they opened up about their journey of reconciliation, reflecting on the challenges they have faced in their marriage.
The two acknowledged that their relationship has not always been smooth, admitting that they have encountered numerous obstacles. However, despite the struggles, they chose to embrace love once again, attributing their reunion to divine intervention.
In their message, DJ Mo and Size 8 expressed gratitude for God’s grace, emphasizing that their love has been strengthened through faith. They described their renewed bond as a testimony of God’s power and praised Him for guiding them through their difficulties.
“Grateful to God for blessing our marriage and keeping our love strong through every challenge. No matter the obstacles that come our way, The Lord gave us the grace to overcome and hence we were able to choose to love each other,” a joint message by the couple read.
“This is the doing of the Lord… For sure what God cannot do, does not exist. All praise and Glory goes to God our Father through Jesus Christ.”
Separation
In August 2024, Size 8 announced that their marriage of 11 years had hit the doldrums.
Sharing the news with her fans on her Insta stories on Thursday, August 1, 2024, the ‘Afadhali Yesu‘ hitmaker acknowledged that while marriage can be a divine blessing, it sometimes doesn’t work out as one hopes.
At the time, Size 8 announced that she was starting a new chapter as a single woman noting that she will continue to worship God with unwavering devotion.
“Sometimes marriage works by God’s grace and sometimes it does not work but all in all God is still on the throne!!!! Ive been married for 11 years and now i start the Journey of single hood! But God is still on the throne i worship you Yaweh!” Size 8 shared.
Size 8 and DJ Mo first tied the knot in September 2013 and have been blessed with two children.
Size 8 runs from home
In 2022, the power couple found themselves addressing widespread rumours about their split.
Speaking on their YouTube channel, Size 8 confirmed reports that she had left their matrimonial home but clarified the reasons behind her decision.
“Yes, I did, yes I ran away from home… yes I ran away because I was very angry with DJ Mo, alikuwa amenikosea, so I ran. I just needed some space to breathe and, you know… just talk to God,” she explained.
Adding;
“Mo alikuwa amenikosea, and it was not something small, but he apologized and we sat down with men of God, Pastor Joan, Pastor Chris Chege, and came to a biblical conclusion. We are now reconciled in marriage by the grace of God.”
DJ Mo, on his part, acknowledged that misunderstandings and disagreements are a natural part of any marriage and cannot always be avoided.
