Kakamega – The family of Malava MP Moses Malulu Injendi is plagued by a severe tragedy after the MP and his older brother Samuel Injendi died a few hours after each of them.

The MP passed away on Monday, February 17, at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, just one day after his older brother died while receiving treatment at Kakamega County Central Hospital.

The Nation reports that Samuel, 80, a retired prison officer, had been ill for a while before his death on Sunday, February 16.

The loss of both brothers in a row has left their family and the Malava community in deep sadness.

Commenting on the tragic event, Chemuche County Representative, Geoffrey Sikolia, noted that despite the disadvantages, Samuel's burial plans will continue as originally planned.

The family was preparing to raise money on Wednesday, February 19, to help pay for Samuel's medical bills.

However, due to the sudden death of the MP, the family is now facing a difficult task of arranging two consecutive funerals.

When did Malava MP Malulu Injendi die?

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula confirmed the farewell on Monday, February 17, referring to him as a volunteer public servant whose absence would be severely affected.

“He was a dedicated and enthusiastic representative who served his constituents with dedication and unstable integrity. His efforts and his contribution to our legislative processes, especially the education sector and the sugar sector aimed at improving the lives of the people of Kenya will be greatly remembered,” Wetang'ula said.

Inkendi has been a Malava MP since 2013 and has been serving for his third consecutive term. At the time of his death, he was the Vice Chairman of the Department of Education and Research Committee.

News of the death of the investment has brought shock in Malava and elsewhere, with residents and political leaders expressing their sadness over the disaster.

When did Senator William Cheptumo die?

The death of the investment comes a few days after Baringo County plunged into mourning following the death of his senator William Kipkorir Cheptumo.

The respected public servant, was announced to die on Saturday, February 15, at Nairobi Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi confirmed the sad news, referring to the late Senator as a dedicated leader and served with unparalleled effort.

He sent his condolences to the Cheptumo family, the people of Baringo County, and the whole nation, citing the huge loss.

Senator Cheptumo was well -known for his commitment to addressing important issues in the area, especially his defense of announcing the theft of cattle as a national disaster.
