Ackera Nugent reflected on the challenges of transitioning to professional athletics, admitting that unlike in college, she can no longer afford an off day as she strives for consistency and success.

The celebration was marked by an open car parade where students eagerly greeted the track icon, further emphasizing the impact she has had on young Jamaican athletes.

“My journey is deeply rooted in the strength, resilience, and indomitable spirit of Jamaica. From Waterhouse to Wolmers to the world stage, every step I have taken has been driven by my faith, hard work, perseverance, and a belief in the power of dreams,” Fraser-Pryce shared on Instagram after receiving the honor.
